I talked to an SVA centre on the phone, and they asked me a few questions about the car, and because large parts of it were still original (the engine, drivetrain, chassis, steering, etc) they said I should just MOT it. The MOT tester was a bit taken aback and phoned them up for conformation, and they told him to test it as presented.

HI there, great looking build, i am currently in the process of building a tomcat myself and have been looking to your site for guidance. i do have one question though, did you have to get a sva/iva test for modification or did a simple mot suffice and if so how do i go about it. thanks.

You can see the underneath at the end of the video. I won't get to drive it shell-less as the engine isn't connected to the electrics or the cooling system any more. No brakes, either.

You can't pull the top off and not show the underneath! I also hope you got a chance to drive it around shell-less.
